Research Activity
Since 1970-1971, involved in examining the study of SI interval for Time unit, when linked with Arc-angle (Pi/180 or 1-degree); evolving a definition for Nautical Kilmetre - since publishing: The Metric Second/Metric Calendar Year. Have spent some 40-years aiming to make & promote Time and Calendar to be part of Le Systeme International d'Unite, working for an alternative to currently used Gregorian Calendar(with or without the use of Leap Days/Weeks); ALSO extending to use the duration of 'Sidereal Day' for the FORMAT of Civil Calendar (using duration of Tropical or Sidereal Year). Develped 33*27*9=8019-year 'SAROS' & format for Year 2007,being the FIRST Keplers' Leap Week [(Y2000-80)+/- 128], in link with Year ZERO BC/AD following *divide six(6) LWks scheme & Addl.Keplers' Leap Weeks* for most cycles.Best Mean Year value of (365+31/128)=365.2421875 days or 7*[(52+1/6+29/2688)] are achieved. Also, 3*400-year Gregorian cycle may have 13-Addl.KLWks to give current Mean Year=365.2425 days.

| Brij's projection to IAU is pointed as an Indian's life time work 'examining the possibility' for A World Calendar merely by shifting July 31st to February 29th, during ALL YEARS in the format of 364-day calendar in FOUR equal quarters (of 91 days = 13 Weeks) |
| Synopsis of Brij's PROPOSAL on Calendar Reform (with or without Leap Weeks), by shifting ONE days of July 31 to the month February as 'February 29', using DIVIDE six(6)-year plan for Leap Weeks & Additional Keplers' Leap Weeks. A New Definition of *Decimal Second(sd)* based on Refined value for Astronomers' Average Mean Atomic Year, is worked and equated to give Mean Year of 365.2421875 days. Also MY=(365+31/128)=365.2421875 days if 'ceturian Leap Rule is modified to skip a day once every 128-years. |

| Among several schemes for 364-day Formats for Modifications to a POSSIBLE World Calendar, I shift the day of July 31 and bring THIS into the month February (as Feb.29th). This make four equal quarters by keeping December 31 OUTSIDE of calendar format to be used as World Day (1971) or as to make up for a Leap Week (SEE my CalRhyme)
